"No, Marius," she nuzzled into the crook of his neck, "you do not bother me, I-" Words were useless right now, Eponine found. They were failing both of them. What was there to say? She tightened her grip on him, closing her eyes briefly.
They remained closed as his lips met hers. Eponine wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him close. She wanted him as near as possible, to feel the warmth of his body against hers. She simply melted into his embrace, part of her wishing this could last forever.
