"I suppose that is a compliment?" Eponine laughed, wrapping her arms around his neck as she was carried. Though her weight was now healthy from over two months of regular meals, she was still rather light.
She could hardly believe the things he was saying to her. "Do you really mean it, Marius?" Eponine beamed, reaching up a hand to touch his cheek gently.
No one had never called her beautiful before, or any of the things he was saying. And to hear them from Marius was something Eponine had never expected.
