Hey.

I saw something about a US plane crash in Africa on the news.
Anyone else heard from Enjolras and Grantaire? Or know if that was their plane, or unrelated? R never told me the flight number.

Also, I'm on here now. Courfeyrac and Grantaire have been bothering me about it for weeks.
You want me, feel free to leave a message. ~Beeeeeep~

The plane was theirs. We haven't had any contact from them, though we were supposed to. Sorry to be the one to break the news.

Combeferre and I are working on figuring out where they might have ended up. Combeferre's pretty sure that they're both alive, and I trust his instincts with regard to Enjolras any day. So it's just a matter of finding them and getting them home. If you need some company, feel free to drop by.

Not exactly the best time, but welcome to the social networking age?

I don't do so well with the mathematical aspect, either, but sometimes flirting with half of my class has its uses. Apparently there are all sorts of different ways to go about calculating this, and I've got good people working on it.

If it comes to fighting our way across African borders, there aren't many people I'd rather have beside me. And I think that's pretty much what we're all thinking, right now. If they haven't died yet, they're probably going to come out of it all right. We may have to go save Africa from Enjolras, come to think of it.

I see you're already starting to pick up on the language. Good job.

Well, I can't take all of the credit for it. Combeferre also knows mathematicians, and he may have picked them up through slightly more standard means.

Always be prepared. I'd say I'll need to go pick up some doctors, but we've got Joly for that. Do you think any survivalists would be interested in my wonderful charms? Because I can't think of a life when trekking through the African jungle was a common theme, and having something happen to one of us when we were ostensibly going to rescue him probably wouldn't make Enjolras happy.

I'll let you know as soon as we have tickets, if we decide to go. Combeferre thinks we should wait a little bit longer, see if Enjolras finds a way to contact us. Or Grantaire. Same thing, really. If Enjolras manages to pry Grantaire more than ten feet away from him after a plane crash, I'm going to be impressed.

I'll make a note to look into clubs like that for the future.

I'm actually not feeling much like seeing anyone outside the group right now, though. At least no one new. I might spend the evening with either you or Combeferre, whoever wants to tolerate my worried self more.

Camping for me has usually involved a camper. Or at least a tent that's large enough to have separate rooms. There might have been once or twice that I've tried roughing it, in previous lives, but I'm not terribly liking the flashes I get from them.

And so far as us knowing that they're alive, the barnacle and the rock are the same thing in this case. They're both quite capable of using all the variety of text and spoken communication that this brilliant world has to offer. And I dearly want to hear from them.

If for no other reason then because I want to tell Grantaire that you called him a barnacle.

I think I like telling him in person. I'm debating whether he's going to sad about this or just be like "yep, he can be a rock and I'll gladly be his barnacle any day". Probably the latter.

I'd apologize about the euphemisms thing, but I'm not sorry. I may even have to make a game out of that. How many double entendres can I put into a post?

I'd prefer using Javert as a punching bag at the moment, but failing that a trip to the gym might indeed be in order. It'll help make sure we're ready if we do have any sudden flight plans, and I would never say no to watching fit people work out.

I'm actually pretty glad that we don't know where Javert is. My head tells me that Enjolras wouldn't want us dispensing vigilante justice; the rest of me says that anyone who wants to revel in the deaths of college kids and harass their friends really needs a good kick or three.

You'll look great while you're kicking the shit out of me, I'm sure. :p I promise to point out everyone who's potentially attractive to you, as well. I would like to protest that I'm pretty much equal opportunity when it comes to appreciating the human form. Any gender can be appreciated.

And I know better than to do a drinking game with you. I just can't match you and R, not without some hidden edge. And heaven forbid we were anywhere public. As much as I'm sure you'd intend to get me home in one piece, I suspect someone would be bailing us all out of jail.
